Wheelchair solid tires are intentionally made smaller than the wheelchair rim so that they won't come off once installed. The main complaint most customers have when installing a solid tire is the force required to stretch it over the wheelchair rim. When unmounted, this tire measures approximately 19-22 inches in diameter, making it the largest unmounted tire size of the toothed 24"*1 1/4" tire design we currently sell. There is also a bungee cord inside the tire. Larger sizes without bungee cords installed mean less stretch. Fit the tire onto the wheelchair rim. A sturdy wheelchair tire fitting tool is still required, but much less effort is required to turn the wheel on the tool. This tire can be used with Drive, Medine, Invacare, Everest and Jennings (E&J), Breezy or any other.
