Straight in profile, these wide and relatively short jaws are designed to clamp and hold flat stock, L-angle, and sheet metal in position for welding or assembly. Deep, sharp, regularly spaced teeth offer an evenly distributed, nonslip grip on smooth, flat surfaces. When positioning and clamping parts for welding or assembly, getting everything lined up perfectly and held in place can be frustrating. To make it easier and faster, our locking pliers are designed with a pull-type release lever that allows you to clamp, release, reposition, and clamp again with one hand, unlike a traditional pinch-type release lever that requires different hand positions (and often two hands) to lock and to release.
