Perfect for the professional electrician, the Knipex installation pliers with multi-component comfort handle enable you to effortlessly and accurately cut various types of cable without crushing or fraying — both highly flexible stranded wire cable as well as solid conductor cables.
The serrated pipe grip is used for transverse gripping and moving of parts, while the serrated straight area of the gripping jaws grips materials tightly and without slippage in a longitudinal direction. The head of the installation pliers has clear-cut outside edges, which can be used for piercing, deburring, and expanding openings in molded fittings. The edges of the pliers' head can also be used for a number of scraping and cleaning operations. It cuts cables up to 19/32-inches in diameter, and it features stripping holes for 12 14 AWG cable, and crimp die for end sleeves (ferrules) from 12 to 20 AWG.

Sometimes we give our pliers a really hard time. We try to destroy them to find out what makes them good and long lasting. Because we don't want to leave anything to chance, we take a long, careful look.
The steel Knipex uses is precisely hardened with a maximum of 0.8 percent carbon and defined parts of chromium and vanadium, guaranteeing optimum cutting performance and service life — even though it requires special production and costs a bit more. But our high product demands require this.
The rivet of our high-leverage diagonal cutter also has to stand up to a lot of stress. That's why we literally give it backup: we forge it straight onto the pliers. This means extra effort as we have to precision mill the rivet to a few hundredth millimeters. But satisfied users are worth this effort.
